2016 is Go Go GO!!

Firstly, please let me apologise to those of you that do take the time to read my mutterings, I have been very busy this winter but, as many of you may have done, I made a resolution to concentrate on this little corner of the internet and make sure I get more content out in 2016.

Now that that is out what better way to start than with the Autosport International show at Birmingham's NEC this weekend just gone. A plethora of attractions for motorsport fans both old and new, everything from the latest and greatest F1, WEC and Touring cars, classic sports cars, GTs, driver interviews and signings, launches, live action right down to entry level club racing and karting, plus plenty to spend any money left over from Christmas on!

Below is a gallery showcasing some of my highlights of the exhibition:
Williams were out in force with a display of cars from their museum, including this, the first Williams raced in 1978...
 Keke Rosberg's 1982 championship FW08...

And, While Nigel Mansell's 1992 championship winning car was on display the 1986 Adelaide "tyre blowout" model was also on display!

Classic Team Lotus were also out in force with a number of cars on display

M Sport bought their Blancpain Bentley out for the crowds to ogle!

While Porsche bought (complete with northern French dirt) the 2015 Le Mans winner, keeping company with Gordon Shedden's Honda Touring car and the brand new Ford GT WEC weapon on the Autosport main stage.

The Porsche Carrera Cup GB also liveried their 911 in LM24 livery, looks good to me!

The BTCC were also out in numbers, entries from Motorbase, Simpson / Speedworks, WSR AMD among others, and a few cheeky Livery changes for 2016??

The Jamsport Clio should get noticed this year!

Ginetta had a few models out as well!

Mclaren P1 GTR, Oh yes please!

Road legal machinery also featured at the show, like this Ultima.

The closest I'm likely to get to an F1 Ferrari!

The late Sean Edwards remembered, his father's Hesketh on display.

Classic rally monster, the 6R4 Metro.

Finally, my car of the show, the Greaves Motorsport ELMS winning LMP2 Gibson!
